Our Commitment to Privacy
TinyToki is designed with privacy as a core principle. We believe your family's memories belong to you, and we've built our app to respect that.
Data Storage
Local-first: All your journal entries, photos, and child profiles are stored locally on your device. We do not upload or store your photos on our servers.
What we process: When you use voice-to-text polishing, only the transcribed text is sent to our servers for AI processing. This text is not stored after processing.
Authentication
We use Firebase Anonymous Authentication to identify your device. This creates a unique identifier without requiring any personal information like email or phone number.

Crash Reporting
We use Firebase Crashlytics to improve app stability. If the app crashes, we automatically collect:
- Device model and OS version
- Crash stack trace
- Anonymous user ID
This data is used solely to identify and fix bugs. It does not include any of your journal content or photos.
What We Don't Collect
- Your photos (we only reference them locally on your device)
- Your location
- Your contacts
- Audio recordings (speech recognition happens on-device)
- Any data you don't explicitly create in the app
Subscriptions
TinyToki offers optional paid subscriptions managed entirely through Apple's App Store. We do not collect or store any payment information. All billing is handled by Apple. See Apple's privacy policy for details on how Apple handles payment data.
Your Rights
You can:
- Delete all data: Go to Settings > Delete All Data in the app
- Stop using AI polish: Disable AI polishing in Settings to use raw transcripts only
- Request information: Email us at privacy@tinytoki.app
If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA), you also have the right to access, rectify, port, and erase your personal data, as well as the right to restrict and object to certain processing of your data. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@tinytoki.app.
Children's Privacy
TinyToki is designed for parents to record memories about their children. The app is intended for adult use only. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Significant changes will be announced in the app. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
